Mermaid Morrigan (aka Cindy Rhodes) and her hammered dulcimer "Persephone" enchant and delight with her ethereal sounds of her "mermaid music", inspired by the waters surrounding Topsail Island, North Carolina.
Cindy performs her original music on "Persephone", an instrument with it's Assyrian/Persian roots over 2,500 years old. Once called a "santur," this stringed instrument traveled the trade routes to be experienced by many cultures, finally to be renamed "dulcimer," meaning "sweet music." No better term could have been coined for this wonderful instrument. Tune in, and hear for yourself!
